Well, some line-art of mine went in an unexpected direction in a fit of frustration and crazy experimentation. I guess it's better this way, since this picture would otherwise be too much of a spoiler. For what, you ask? That I cannot say... not yet, though, I hope to put up a 'real' version of that WIP when the time's right. *Still* have to fix his eyes, and his hair.
Oh, and cool purples are the colours of the week. I guess this is Goemon's response to his very, very limited presence in the Lupin vs. Conan crossover. The usual token five-second action sequence doesn't do it for me. Writers really don't know what to do with 'Mon, it'd seem, from looking at the more recent specials in general - it's disappointing. But all well, what could I expect, right? I'll just have to fill in the blanks and find happiness with roleplaying. :3
Experimentation is fun, and I absolutely ADORE a certain filter... Also, an explanation I got on how to do the rain came from an video source I unfortunately can't remember, but it involved something like Fibres, Stained Glass, and fiddling with opacity. Awesome shizz.
Ishikawa Goemon is copyright of Monkey Punch. Art is mine; please do not steal.
You're very good at drawing very scary Goemons (Goemen?). That's some great use of shadows around his lifeless-looking eyes, it goes along well with the dark colors and the rain to make a very creepy piece.
